Dr. Samantha Reynolds was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Her passion for optometry first came to sight at her very first eye exam in 2000 with Dr. Altig at Altig Optical when she was just 7 years old.
Dr. Reynolds graduated with her Bachelors in Biology from the University of North Texas in 2014 and then went on to obtain her Doctorate in Optometry at the University of Houston in 2019, where she graduated with honors and as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa.
Dr. Reynolds is truly passionate about her work as a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and it is evident with each and every patient interaction. She is an active member in the Texas Optometric Assoc., the American Optometric Assoc., and the current President of the Tarrant County Optometric Society. These organizations ensure she stays up to date with the latest developments and treatments in the field as well as opportunities to grow her resource network. This all plays a vital role in her full-circle practice of care approach she provides for all of her patients.
She specializes in a wide range of eye pathology diagnoses and treatment including, glaucoma, macular degeneration, keratoconus, diabetic retinopathy, binocular vision dysfunction, and pre/post-operative care of refractive surgery (LASIK/PRK). She enjoys working with the patients and their families/care team to provide them with a fun and safe approach to the standard exam procedures, in hopes that all of her patients will always feel safe and understood when they’re in her exam room.
In her spare time, Dr. Reynolds enjoys live music, attending concerts, spending time with her beloved corgis, Crimson and Eevee, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
